Until one day I decided to read more about the product and see if it makes sense scientifically.

To my understanding, the process of creating them is a patented secret (nothing surprising here), but I didn’t see any scientific red flags that would assign impossible attributes to the crystals.

Something else that made an impression on me is that they offer the crystal rivets in a stainless steel base enclosures. This is a big plus in my book. The stainless-steel rivet base would keep them very securely attached to any leather mask/collar and I don’t need to worry about them falling off because the glue failed (so many products using crystals just have them glued in). In addition to this, the stainless steel would remain bright and shiny for the whole lifetime of the product (which is a long time).

So far, so good. Maybe I should just order a few to see what the buzz is about for myself?

I bit the bullet and decided to spend the money on a little package of Clear Swarovski Crystals for the hell of it. I wanted to try them on my leather crowns!

My mind was BLOWN!

They really were orders of magnitude better than what I’ve been accustomed to using. The fit of the enclosures was better, way more reflections and even though I got the clear crystals they still had all kids of colors pop out of them when under the right light! It was crazy!

Since then I have completely switched over from the regular glass crystals sold by most leather suppliers to using only Swarovski crystals in my work. They are significantly clearer and reflect the light in a way that doesn’t even compare to the standard glass crystals. It feels like comparing fine jewelry to plastic tiara crystals. Lol

Here’s a better quality video comparison of the regular glass crystals (bottom of the leather strip) and shiny Swarovski crystals (top of the leather strip).

Now that you know why I’m using only Swarovski Crystals for my leatherwork, you’d be happy to learn that we're about to release multiple masks from “The Dark Abyss Collection” and most of the pieces there feature these very crystals in them! It’s a fantastic combination and the black void of the leather only focuses the attention on the Swarovski crystals in the masks.

Subscribe to our Newsletter to be notified when any new pieces from “The Dark Abyss Collection” become available!

Thank you for reading this and have a great day! 😊
